LVTC Successfully held the Opening Ceremony for 2021 International Students

Liu Zilin,the party committee secretary of LVTC, president Gan Jinming, vice president Ju Hongxia and Wei Lin, leaders of relevant administrative departments such as the Academic Affairs Office and the International Exchange Office, the teaching staff of Chinese as a foreign language, and more than 30 students from 12 countries attended the opening ceremony.

On behalf of LVTC, Gan Jinming extended a warm welcome to international students from all over the world. He also made a brief introduction of LVTC, the achievements of the school running and the current status of the newly established school of International Education. He expected that the international students should work hard with the teachers, learn Chinese well, make new friends，understand the school in depth，integrate into the school, and leave a strong mark in the history of the development of the School of International Education of LVTC.

Tang Yuqin, a teacher of Chinese as a Foreign Language , and Huang Jianxia, a counselor, made speeches on behalf of the teachers at the opening ceremony. Tang Yuqin introduced the team of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and hoped that the international students should follow the teacher to learn Chinese well. As a new counselor, Mr. Huang Jianxia reviewed the hardships of this period of work and thanked the leaders and teachers for their help. She firmly believed that work cultivated feelings. She hoped that the students’Chinese and her English would be improved during her serving as an international student counselor.

Asmat, a representative of international students from Pakistan, thanked the school teachers for their hard work and said that he would cherish every day he studied at LVTC. Facing new challenges with a positive and optimistic attitude, he hoped to gain knowledge and friendship in LVTC in the future.

At the end of the opening ceremony, Liu Zilin made a closing speech. Liu Zilin introduced the students the history of Liuzhou in detail, and suggested that they should have a deep understanding of the local customs and taste of the local food of the Internet celebrity—— Liuzhou River Rnails Rice Noodle. Focusing on the formation of the craftsmanship culture, Liu Zilin also introduced to the foreign students the history of Liuzhou’s development and the school’s spirit of craftsmanship. He hoped that the international students would learn Chinese well, appreciate the charm of Chinese and the profoundness of Chinese culture, and wish them good health and progressive study during their stay in Liuzhou.

The opening ceremony was interspersed with ice-breaking games for the students, and a superb meal was prepared for the students after the meeting. The international students, leaders and teachers communicated cordially and expressed that they would integrate into the school as soon as possible, learn Chinese well, and be a messenger of culture of LVTC in the future.

Based on the results of the previous international exchange work, LVTC started the recruitment of international students for the first time this year. Overcoming the barriers caused by COVID-19 epidemic, the Office of International Exchange has developed different training programs online and offline for different countries and regions, , recruiting more than 200 international students, and achieving a successful start for the School of International Education.
